21700 batteries must be packaged with extreme care. Each battery must be individually wrapped in an insulated material designed to prevent shorts. The entire package must be placed in a static-resistant bag or box before being shipped. Batteries must never be shipped in bulk or loose without proper packaging.
Batteries should always be shipped via a tracked courier such as FedEx or UPS. The courier should be notified of the battery shipment and the package must be labeled as containing hazardous materials. The package should also be marked with the proper shipping class, such as Class 8, for lithium batteries.
